Two thousand delegates will be attending the conference virtually for the first time this weekend.

DA KZN leader Zwakele Mncwango says the province has 130 delegates who'll be voting for the leadership.

He says delegates with connectivity problems will be accommodated at a facility in Durban where they'll be able to take part in the proceedings.

DA interim leader, John Steenhuisen and MPL, Mbali Ntuli are the two candidates for the top job.

Mncwango says he's very proud that both candidates are from KZN.

"It's going to be the first time in the history where someone from KZN will lead the DA."

Asked who he's endorsing, Mncwango said: "I endorse Mbali and my endorsement for Mbali is not an endorsement against John. At the moment where we are, there've been internal squabbles. I think she will be the right candidate.

"I believe she's kind, strong and fair. I believe Mbali is the right person to really take us forward."
