Tyla's big night at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

Tyla was the hostess with the mostest at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. 

The awards ceremony occurred on Saturday, June 21, in Santa Monica, California. Several A-list stars attended the show, including Ice Spice, Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), Terry Crews and Victoria Monét.

Tyla opened the ceremony by walking onstage as her new song, 'Bliss', played in the background. She was wearing a Roberto Cavalli dress. 

"Hello, Nickelodeon! Everybody say, Tyla, we wanna party," she said. 

The South African singer was the life of the party and kept the crowd going throughout the night. 

Some of the biggest winners on the night included: 

• SZA: Favourite Female Artist
• Bruno Mars: Favourite Male Artist
• Ariana Grande: Favourite Movie Actress ('Wicked')
• Jack Black: Favourite Movie Actor ('A Minecraft Movie')
• Sabrina Carpenter ('Favourite Female Breakout Artist')
• Benson Boone ('Favourite Male Breakout Artist')

Sabrina Carpenter's 'Taste' was named 'Favourite Song', while 'Short n' Sweet' won 'Favourite Album'. 

Kendrick Lamar and SZA's hit single, 'Luther' - the number 31 song on the ECR Top 40 with Styles (Brought to you by CTM), was crowned 'Favourite Music Collaboration'.

Tyla also got to present an award to one of her role models. She introduced Rihanna as the recipient of the 'Icon Award'. 

The 'Umbrella' singer could not attend the show but shared a video message for her fans.

"I am beyond honoured... I am even more honoured to be able to share this moment with all of you because none of this would be possible without you. This is a big deal for me.

"And I just want to take this moment to remind all of you that wherever you are right now is significant and crucial to where you are about to go. Own your space in this world and know that you are chosen for greatness," she said.

Tyla not only hosted the awards ceremony, but she also took home an orange blimp trophy. 

She was named 'Favourite Global Music Superstar'.

"This has been so fun. I'm so happy I came to party with you guys. This was the best party ever," she said before being covered in green slime. 

The 22-year-old also previewed her new song, 'We Wanna Party', which explains why she kept chanting the phrase throughout the night. 

She also wore a cropped top with the words. It's the second single from her upcoming album. It follows the release of 'Bliss'. 

The album's title and release date have not been shared.
