Three months after being honoured at the National Film Film Awards UK, Terry Pheto has been nominated for yet another international award.

The actress has received a nod in the "Outstanding Actress" category at the 2017 Black Reel Awards for Television (BRATs) in the US.

She is up against Oprah Winfrey, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, and Loretta Devine.

Her "impressive" role as Winnie Mandela in the American miniseries, 'Madiba', was praised by the selection committee.

The Black Reel Awards take place annually, and  honours "African-American film achievement in feature, independent and television films".

The BRATs will be the ceremony's first every awards show specifically for television.

Terry Pheto could not contain her excitement after news of her nomination broke on Thursday.

"OMG! What an honour! Thank you," she tweeted.

It's been an amazing 2017 for the actress.

She received a "Best Supporting Actress" award at the National Film Awards UK in March for her role in 'A United Kingdom'.

The role also earned her a nomination at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA).

The BRATs are taking place on August 3. We are crossing our fingers (and toes) for our golden girl.
