Talk show icon Ricki Lake talks facelift, weight loss
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
The 90s talk show host looks very different these days.

Ricki Lake is opening up about her recent makeover.
The 56-year-old looks much slimmer these days after losing nearly 20kg. But that's not the only major change to her body.
During an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen', she revealed that she underwent a lower face and neck lift after shedding the kilos.
"I kind of think it’s the best facelift I’ve ever seen," she gushed.
She loves her surgeon's work so much that she has recommended Dr. Allen Foulad to many people.
“You can’t see nothing! It’s amazing. I love that I can talk about it. I’m fully transparent, always have been. I don't want there to be any stigma. This is something that was bothering me. I lost a lot of weight, and I had this thing hanging and I had it fixed.”

The former host, who graced our screens on ‘The Ricki Lake Show’ in the 90s and early 2000s, underwent an inspiring weight loss journey.
It began in late 2023. Her husband, Ross Burningham, also joined her.
Many people accused the media personality of using Ozempic, a diabetes drug that has been used off-label by some to lose weight.
She has denied the claims, crediting a strict diet and daily hikes with a weighted vest for helping her slim down.
“I did not go on any drug because I wasn’t prediabetic. There’s nothing wrong with those drugs. They’re actually game changers for so many people. But for me, I did not want to be reliant on a drug if I could help it,” she told Us Weekly earlier this year.
Lake also incorporated intermittent fasting into her diet and Pilates into her fitness routine.
Instead of trying fad diets, she focused on long-term goals, losing the weight gradually.
And most importantly, she had fun.
“That involves daily exercise, mindfulness practice, good sleep, and having a lot of fun. Like, I have so much fun,” she told ‘TODAY’.
Don’t expect Lake to regain the weight anytime soon. She says her healthy routine is now part of her lifestyle.
“This is a lifestyle change, and I’ve made this my job, and it’s become my joy. I love it. I think it’s safe to say I’m in the best shape of my life,” she told ‘Good Morning America’."
