Cardi B's past is coming back to haunt her. A video has gone viral of the 'Taki Taki' star admitting to luring men to hotels so she could drug and rob them.

The rapper has made no secret of her stripper past, but the confession has left her fans divided.

"I had to go strip, I had to go, 'Oh yeah, you want to fu** me? Yeah, let’s go back to this hotel. And I drugged n***as up and I robbed them. That's what I used to do. I'm a good-hearted person but I have done some f**ked up s**t. Y'all don't have to worry about it, y'all don't gotta tell my story," she said in the video, which was shared three years ago.

Cardi claimed she did what she did to survive, but many of her fans don't agree.

""I made decisions to survive"..B***h you could have been working in KFC for survival. If you wanna strip that's your choice. But to justify DRUGGING people and then ROBBING them cuz you wanted to have a fab life is nothing but basic b***h mindset," one person wrote on Twitter.

The 26-year-old has received major backlash since the video resurfaced, with some social media users comparing her to Bill Cosby and R. Kelly.

She has since apologised for her comments.

"All I can do now is be a better me for myself my family and my future," she told her fans on Instagram.

Twitter users started the hashtag, 'Surviving Cardi B', to discuss her shady past. The hashtag is similar to the one used for R. Kelly's 'Surviving R. Kelly' docu-series.

"#SurvivingCardiB is a prime example of how people claim they want equality yet when a woman is the predator she gets to walk away. Don't preach from equality unless you expect her to get put in front of a judge for her actions," one Twitter user wrote.

Another user posted: "The amount of people supporting Cardi B baffles me. not only has she been incredibly transphobic, she openly ADMITTED to drugging and robbing men. I’m all for supporting women and women of color, but this is nothing to be praised. she is no one to look up to. #SurvivingCardiB"
