Winning the 2023 Rugby World Cup is not the only thing South Africa's rugby team has to celebrate.

Two players from the Springboks rugby team, and one former player, have announced that they are expecting babies in 2024.

Handre Pollard and his wife Marise are expecting their first child in April next year.

"The biggest blessing of them all joining us April ‘24. Thank you Jesus for trusting us with this little life," Marise wrote on Instagram.

She shared pictures taken during their maternity shoot.

The couple's Bokke family shared messages of congratulations in the comment section.

"The best best news," Rachel Kolisi - the wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, wrote.

Layla Kolbe, who is married to Cheslin Kolbe, commented: "Bless!!! So excited."

Eben Etzebeth - aka 'Elizabedi' - and his wife Anlia, are also expecting a bundle of joy.

Anlia announced the news shortly after South Africa beat New Zealand in the finals.

"BLESSINGS upon BLESSINGS! Thank you, Lord! Well done Bokke & HAPPY BIRTHDAY my liefste man!!" she captioned a picture of the pair celebrating on the pitch.

Herschel Jantjies, who lifted the Webb Ellis Cup trophy in 2019, is also gearing up for a new addition to the family.

His partner, Kelsey Thomas, announced their exciting baby news on Instagram.

"Congratulations you two," Cheslin Kolbe wrote.

All their internet aunties and uncles are also bursting with excitement.

"We love your family Elizabediiiii!!!!!" one woman commented under Eben's pregnancy announcement.

"One thing Handré will do is score," a fan wrote about the Pollard family's big news.
