The chances of Kim Cattrall reprising her role in the 'Sex and the City' franchise are very low.

When HBO Max announced that a 'Sex and the City' reboot was in the works, fans were disappointed to learn that Kim Cattrall would not feature.

The 65-year-old played Samantha Jones on the hit show but declined to join the 'And Just Like That...' cast.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, was recently asked if she would be okay with Kim making a comeback on the show.

"I don’t think I would, because I think there’s just too much public history of feelings on her part that she’s shared. I haven’t participated in or read articles, although people are inclined to let me know. I haven't participated in or read articles, although people are inclined to let me know," she told Variety

The cast members reportedly have a longstanding feud. But Sarah has denied the rumours on more than one occasion.

"I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn't part of this story," she commented on an Instagram post last year.

SPOILER ALERT...

The 'And Just Like That' reboot went ahead as planned without Kim, and premiered in December 2021. Samantha's notable absence was explained in episode one. She moved to London after Carrie fired her as her publicist.

"There’s a very distinct line between Samantha and Kim. Samantha’s not gone. Samantha’s present and I think [it] was handled with such respect and elegance. She wasn’t villainized. She was a human being who had feelings about a relationship, so I think we found a way to address it which was necessary and important for people that loved her," Sarah told Variety.

'And Just Like That...' was met with mixed reviews when it debuted, but a second season seems likely.

It looks like it will just be Carrie, Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) now and forever.
