South African fashion designer Rich Mnisi got to rub shoulders with one of the biggest music superstars in the world this week.

He was one of the guests at an all-white party hosted by Beyoncé and her team. The singer launched her new haircare line, Cécred, at an exclusive event held in Los Angeles.

Some of the guests at the launch included Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, Gabrielle Union, Tia Mowry, and Taraji P. Henson.

Rich Mnisi took to his Instagram Stories to share several pictures and videos from the event. One of the clips showed him chatting to Beyoncé.

"I met mother," he captioned the video.

Beyoncé showed up to the event wearing Prabal Gurung and rocking her real hair.

Despite the star having naturally long hair, as shown in a video shared by her mother, many did not believe that she was not wearing a wig.

"This isn’t her real hair. She has extension," one woman wrote.

Another woman added: "Beyoncé will release a natural hair product wearing a wig."

It looks like Queen B will have to do a hair tutorial to prove the naysayers wrong!

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:

Beyoncé, who grew up sweeping hair in her mother Tina Knowles' salon, first teased her hair care range in May 2023. She made the official announcement on February 7.

Her brand has reportedly been years in the making.

"It’s been my lifelong dream to create these hair products and bring some of my mother’s teachings to life. I built Cécred from the ground up. I poured into it everything I’ve learned throughout my life so we can borrow some of our past and bring it to the future. Cécred is about prioritizing yourself and all the things you hold sacred," the 'Break My Soul' hitmaker wrote on the brand's new website

The 42-year-old revealed how she came up with the name Cécred in an interview with Essence magazine.

"I took the end of my name, Cé, and made it the beginning of the word sacred to create Cécred. From my mother’s salon, daily rituals with my father, and years of experience in developing a hair care line, the journey has been just that: Cécred," she said.
