Paris Hilton reveals why she won't give her young children smartphones

Paris Hilton says some kids are getting phones way too young and there is a lot she wouldn't want her children to be exposed to.

Socialite Paris Hilton has a surprising stance on the age at which children should be allowed access to smartphones and social media.

The 43-year-old, who is a mom to two children under two, shared her thoughts while speaking at The Future of Everything Festival, which is hosted by The Wall Street Journal.

"I hope that they are nerds like their dad and don’t want anything to do with that," Paris said about Phoenix (16 months) and London (five months).

Paris, who some might consider the 'Queen of Social Media', will try to keep them off smartphones for as long as possible.

"Some of these kids are just getting phones at way too young of an age and there’s just so many things online that I wouldn’t even want my children to be exposed to. So I never thought I would say this, but I’m going to be the strict mom," People quoted her as saying.

Paris and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed both their children, Phoenix and London, via a surrogate mother in 2023

She kept the pregnancies a secret, with her mother, Kathy Hilton, meeting her son London for the first time on her reality show, 'Paris in Love'

"These babies have just brought so much love into my life. My heart feels so full, like it could burst, and every day is like a new adventure. Just seeing—especially with Phoenix—all these new steps...smiling and laughing and dancing. He's the best. They both are," she told SheKnows earlier this year.

Paris is fiercely protective of her children, particularly her son, who was cruelly tormented about the size of his head.

"That baby's head is huge. LMAO," one person wrote. Paris defended her little prince, telling the haters he is perfectly normal.

"There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course, he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain," she said.
