'On My Mind': Alex Warren and Rosé drop new song
Alex Warren and Rosé release a moving duet.
Alex Warren is "freaking out" over his new song with Blackpink member Rosé.
The American singer and the K-pop star released their new song, 'On My Mind', on Friday, June 27.
Warren debuted the track's official music video on the same day.
"ON MY MIND is officially out… IM FREAKING OUT," he said.
Warren first teased the song on June 14, sharing a preview of the chorus on Instagram.
"Maybe it's the way the clouds are painted/ A perfect shade of yellow all across the sky/ Maybe it's the way the times are changing/ And I'm stuck in the middle, frozen in a fire/ But, baby, you're on my mind," they sing in the emotional duet.
"Just wait till you hear the full song…" Warren said when teasing the song.
His fans have finally listened to the complete track and love all three minutes and nine seconds of it.
"She does not just sing. She tells a whole story beyond the pages," a YouTuber said about Rosé's vocals.
"Rosé and Alex's voices together are a MASTERPIECE," another user commented.
'On My Mind' is the third single from Warren's debut studio album, 'You'll Be Alright, Kid'.
'Ordinary', the album's lead single, reached the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
It also peaked at #1 on the ECR Top 40 with Styles (Brought to you by CTM). The song is currently at #2.
It was kicked off the top spot by Tyla's 'Bliss.
Warren's new album also features a collaboration with Jelly Roll. The pair team up on 'Bloodline'.
'You'll Be Alright, Kid' is a two-disc album with 21 tracks. Disc 2 is his extended play, 'You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1)', which was released last year.
"Chapter 1 was who I was, and Chapter 2 is who I’m becoming. You can listen to the whole thing in order, and you’ll know everything about me," he told Elite Daily in an interview.
“A lot of my music is about the trauma I went through as a kid."
Warren's album will be released on Friday, July 18
