Minnie Dlamini is speaking out after an entertainment blogger claimed her marriage to Quinton Jones ended because of cheating.

The TV presenter has been trending all week after a nasty rumour alleged that she was having an affair. The claim was made on popular blogger Musa Khawula's Twitter page.

"Rumour has it Minnie Dlamini had been cold towards Quinton Jones after her brother's passing, shortly after the brother's passing Quinton found out Minnie was cheating on him and filed for divorce. The divorce is on-going, apparently, Minnie is refusing to sign the divorce papers," he tweeted.

The blogger claimed in a separate tweet that the man Minnie cheated on Quinton with was a well-known businessman.

"Rumour has it Edwin Sodi and Minnie Dlamini kept their spark alight whilst Dlamini-Jones was married. It is also said, that his private jet was put to good use entertaining Minnie Dlamini and her friends."

Edwin has reportedly dated several high-profile women in South Africa. If his name sounds familiar to some, it's because the businessman has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In 2015, 'Idols SA' presenter, Tebogo 'ProVerb' Thekiso, confirmed his now ex-wife, Onalerona Thekiso, was cheating on him.

He made the comment after several reports claimed she was seeing Edwin behind his back.

After remaining mum on the matter, Minnie and Quinton released a joint statement on the cheating claims.

"We have been made aware of various allegations regarding our divorce circulating on social media since yesterday. Without saying much more, all the allegations made are false, damaging, and malicious. Fabrications of such a damaging manner are both unnecessary and hurtful, in a matter that is already sensitive to us," a statement Minnie shared on Wednesday read.

The 32-year-old added that the "baseless" rumours not only affect them, but their one-year-old son, Netha Makhosin, as well.

“Our shared priority is to remain friends and co-parent our son. We kindly ask that you allow us to go through our private processes, without dragging ourselves, our families, and our loved ones into baseless rumours and social media sensationalism."

The statement ended with the former couple revealing that they will be taking legal action against the relevant parties.

Minnie shocked her fans in February when she revealed that she was splitting from her husband of four years. The couple tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in Cape Town in September 2017.

Minnie said they were separated for months before deciding to go their separate ways.

"In the last 2 years, our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had each other. Despite our better efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will," her statement read.
