Minnie Dlamini has revealed that she needed a "serious cry" after a difficult day.

The media personality took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to reveal that she is feeling tired but grateful after a rough year.

"I'm exhausted. This year has genuinely taken everything of me to just get by and to look back and realise that I did more than just get by makes me feel so great!" she wrote.

The 33-year-old added that while she is proud of herself and how well she has done it's been rough.

"I need a serious cry because wow, survival mode is rough! I feel thankful but also so battered and bruised. Today was really difficult," Minnie wrote. She included crying face emojis.

Minnie did not reveal exactly what was troubling her but she has had her fair share of drama this year.

An innocent comment she made about her ex-boyfriend, football star Itumeleng 'Itu' Khune, on  ‘Curated by Tanqueray’ made her a trending topic in November.

While presenting on the show, Minnie expressed shock that Itu, whom she dated from 2011 to 2014, was still playing football.

"No man guys Khune doesn't still play," she said. One of her producers informed her that he does indeed still play, to which a shocked Minnie replied, "He still plays?!"

Itu's fans slammed Minnie after the clip went viral. Many called her "bitter" and "jealous" that he is still in a happy relationship while she is divorced.

Minnie and her now ex-husband, Quinton Jones, announced their divorce in February 2022

Minnie told her haters that it was "not that deep", and she meant no harm with her light-hearted comment.

The Sunday World revealed in November that Minnie had to pay Quinton R360, 000 in spousal maintenance as part of their divorce settlement.

Minnie reportedly also had to fork out R120, 000 for his furniture. The settlement was reportedly signed in November last year.

Minnie revealed in a tribute to Zahara that the singer reached out to her when she was going through a difficult period.

"Not only was she an incredible talent but she had a heart of gold! I remember her being one of the few people that reached out to me to check if I was OK amidst my drama. We shared a beautiful bond of sisterhood that I will forever cherish," Minnie wrote about Zahara.
