Ciara slammed for not removing hospital bracelets after giving birth

Say what? People are calling Ciara gross for not removing her hospital bracelet nearly one week after giving birth to her daughter.

Ciara welcomed her fourth child earlier this month and she is still basking in her new mom glow.

So much so that the 'How We Roll' singer is still wearing the hospital bracelets she was given in the labour ward.

Ciara gave birth to Amora Princess on Monday, December 11. Her little princess joined siblings Future, Sienna, and Win in the Wilson household.

Ciara returned to Instagram on Sunday to share a picture of both her and her baby still wearing their hospital tags.

"Still haven't cut these off," she captioned the image, which was shared on her Stories.

While some social media thought it was cute, many slammed Ciara for keeping them on for so long.

Most people remove their bracelets when they leave the hospital, however, some keep them in a box as a keepsake.

But it seems wearing them once you have left the hospital is just too much for some people.

"Don't normalize this please, y'all finna be out here smelling like umbilical cords & flat iron smoke," one man commented under a post shared on The Shade Room.

Another man added: "This is just dirty."

A third person wrote: "Why don’t she just cut it off right when they get home from the hospital and put it in like a photo album."

However, many people also came to Ciara's defense.

"Most moms have them on for a while after the baby is born. Usually about 5 days. 3 at the hospital. 1-2 days at home (busy with the baby)," one woman commented.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:

It's not the first time Ciara has kept her hospital bracelet on longer than the average person. She did the same thing when she gave birth to her daughter Sienna in 2017.

She shared a picture of herself, her eldest son Future, and her husband Russell Wilson all wearing their hospital bands.

Ciara is clearly unfazed by the hate and will likely keep the tradition going if she decides to have another baby in the future.
