Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is set to star in her very own cooking show.

According to Deadline, the 42-year-old's show, which is being produced for Netflix, "celebrates the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship".

News of Meghan's cooking show comes a few weeks after she announced she was starting a new lifestyle company called American Riviera Orchard.

Only a name and a crest were made public, with no further details. This didn't stop thousands of people from following the brand's new Instagram page. It has already garnered nearly 600,000 followers.

A 16-second video shared to the page's Instagram Story showed the royal making something in the kitchen of the Montecito home she shares with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to Forbes, Meghan's company could create or sell "online retail store selling tableware, cutlery, cookbooks, servingware, coffee and tea services, kitchen textiles, jams and jellies, oils and other foods".

Meghan's passion for cooking goes way back. She talked about her love for cooking and dining in blog posts shared on her lifestyle website, 'The Tig'.

She also appeared as a judge on Food Network's 'Chopped Junior'.

In other Meghan Markle news, the former actress was spotted supporting her husband at a charity polo match in Florida at the weekend.

Meghan presented Harry and his team with a trophy after they won the match. The royal couple also shared a kiss.

"They were very loving with each other. Meghan looked really happy. They held hands as they arrived and talked to everyone there. It was Harry's night to shine and Meghan was very supportive," an attendee told People.

Netflix's camera crew were reportedly present at the event, as Harry is also recording a series for the streaming platform that will "provide viewers unprecedented access to the world of professional polo".

Meghan's cooking show and Harry's polo series are both still in the early stages of development, according to Deadline.
