McDreamy! People's 2023 Sexiest Man Alive is Patrick Dempsey
Move over Chris Evans, there's a new heartthrob in town and he happens to be dreamy...
Silver fox Patrick Dempsey has been crowned the sexiest man on planet Earth.
People magazine released its annual 'Sexiest Man Alive' edition this week and the 57-year-old has been declared the fairest in all the land.
"I'm glad it's happening at this point in my life," the actor told the publication about his new title.
Patrick, who played Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd on 'Grey's Anatomy', takes over from 2022's sexiest man, 'Captain America' star Chris Evans.

Patrick says hopes to use the title to highlight a good cause, such as the Dempsey Center he founded in honour of his mother, Amanda Dempsey.
Amanda lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2014 at the age of 79. The Dempsey Center, which was launched in 2008, focuses on "making life better for people impacted by cancer".
"It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive," Patrick told People.
Patrick is currently married to professional makeup artist Jillian Dempsey (née Fink). The couple has three children together.
Jill gave her man a special tribute on Instagram.
"Well, the cat’s out of the bag for 2023 @people’s #SexiestManAlive and my hubz is on the cover! Loved being a part of this insanely fun ride with you @patrickdempsey. What a title! You truly are my sexiest man alive," she wrote.
Social media users couldn't be more pleased with this year's pick for the sexiest man alive.
"Gets hotter with age. He is perfection," one Instagram user wrote.
Another user added: "He was, is, and always will be handsome. He is a Prince Charming!"
