Katy Perry set to voice new character on 'Peppa Pig'
Are we gonna hear her ROAR? Katy will play a leopard in a special anniversary episode of 'Peppa Pig'.
Katy Perry has scored a TV gig that her three-year-old daughter will surely be happy about. The 'Firework' singer is set to voice a character on an upcoming episode of 'Peppa Pig'.
Katy will reportedly play a dressmaker named Ms. Leopard. Her appearance is part of a special 20th-anniversary episode that will air in 2024.
Mr. Bull and Mrs. Cow are getting married in a three-part 'Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special' and Ms. Leopard is on hand to help them prepare for the big day.
According to Hasbro Entertainment, this is the first-ever wedding on the British animated show.
"We’re incredibly thrilled to have such an A-list talent join the family-fun adventures in PEPPA PIG! As a loving parent and fan of Peppa herself, Katy Perry is a perfect fit to voice the character of Ms. Leopard,” the company's president, Olivier Dumont, said in a statement.
Olivier added that the wedding special is "just one of the many exciting projects" they have planned for the show's 20th anniversary.

'Peppa Pig' and Katy fans are excited about her upcoming appearance. "Are we gonna hear her ROAR?" one Instagram user teased in reference to her 2013 hit song of the same name.
Another user added: "Daisy's gonna love it."
Katy and her fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child together in August 2020. They named her Daisy Dove.
Orlando also has an older son named Flynn, whom he shares with model Miranda Kerr.
Katy told Variety in a 2021 interview that motherhood was the biggest but best life change.
"As a new mom, those first six weeks are like, 'What?' It's just the biggest life change ever. You're responsible for someone's well-being that can't even hold their head up. It's a real shift, and you become not No. 1 on the call sheet. And it's the best," she said.
