'Grey's Anatomy' star Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, are back in the news again.

According to Radar Online, the actor is begging a judge to reduce his $40,000 (R580k) monthly child support payments as he can no longer afford the amount.

The former couple, who called it quits in 2018, have two children together. Jesse left his 'Grey's Anatomy' job in 2021, with Jackson Avery making his last appearance on the show last May.

The 40-year-old has allegedly been making monthly child support payments since October 2019.

Jesse reportedly earns $1,668 (R24,300) per week for starring in the play, 'Take Me Out'.

"The child support should also be reflective of our two young children’s actual lifestyle and not some exorbitant/imagined version," he states in court papers, according to Radar Online.

Aryn, whose Instagram profile states that she is an entrepreneur and real estate broker, is reportedly not working. Jesse allegedly told the judge that she should return to work to help support their children.

Aryn hit back at Jesse's request. Her lawyers have accused him of quitting his job on 'Grey's Anatomy' to avoid paying.

"[Jesse] left a favorable, coveted, high-paying position on a successful T.V. show, in pursuit of his ‘own path,’ and now seeks to shed his family responsibilities... [Jesse] mentions [Aryn’s] education and prior earnings as a real estate agent. However, he fails to mention that [Aryn] gave up her thriving career in New York for him more than 13 years ago, to relocate to California to support and focus on building his acting career and businesses," Radar Online quotes her lawyers as saying.
