American singer Jennifer Hudson is showing an 'Idols SA' contestant some love. The Grammy Award winner took to Twitter to sing  Nozi Sibiya's praises for her powerful rendition of 'Giving Myself'.

The ballad - which was released in 2009 - was co-written by Robin Thicke for her debut album. Nozi sang the song during one of her performances in the South African singing competition.

Jennifer was blown away.

"Ok I’m a little late but yal need to hear this! Nozi on @IdolsSAperformed my song “Giving Myself.” If I was there she would have caught a shoe! She did that!" she wrote.

An Instagram user commented on the official 'Idols SA' Instagram page: "Sis, I had to rewind your performance. Listen, this performance was just perfect."

Nozi says she is humbled by Jennifer's praise.

"I’m lost for words. Thank you Lord I’m humbled to have an icon like @iamjhud share my video. You are worthy of all praise!" she wrote on Instagram.

Nozi - who hails from Durban - is currently competing in season 18 of the singing competition.

According to her profile, the 27-year-old first entered 'Idols SA' in 2016, but did not make it far. Could 2022 be the year her dream comes true?

Jennifer knows all too well the pressure that comes with being in a singing competition.

She appeared in season three of 'American Idol'. The 41-year-old finished in seventh place, with Fantasia going on to win the season.  Despite the upset, the singer and actress has been killing it in the entertainment industry ever since.

She achieved EGOT status in June after winning a Tony. J-Hud has also won a Grammy, Oscar, and Emmy.

The 'Dreamgirls' star also debuted her first-ever daytime talk this month. 'The Jennifer Hudson Show' has been doing amazing things since its September 12 premiere.

"It's an emotional time and day for me because this is my first show, and just now that when you see me you are going to see my heart," she said during the first episode.
