Is that how you treat your Stans? AKA slammed for mocking crying male fan
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
AKA has come under fire for saying grown men crying over him is a bit "over the top".
A male AKA fan couldn't contain his emotions when he bumped into the rapper recently - and the moment has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
A video shared by entertainment blogger, Musa Khawula, shows the starstruck man breaking down in tears after spotting the 'Congratulate' hitmaker at a table with friends.

While many social media users were glad that the man got to meet one of his favourite rappers, some found the moment hilarious.
"This one is letting everything out including his own problems," one Twitter user joked.
Another man added: "Imagine coming across a vid of your dad crying hysterically on da net after meeting another man..... Ai tjo nka nyaka DNA test, kamo tsenya le protection order immediately, nxa stlaela sa monnamogolo."

It seems AKA also found the encounter a little weird.
"Falling to your knees and crying your eyes out as a grown man when you meet me is a bit over the top. Pull yourself together man," he tweeted after the video went viral.

Many Twitter users were less than impressed with AKA's reaction to the video. Some accused him of displaying toxic masculinity.
"“Nikka was showing you major love as a fan. Well, maybe he overreacted a little, but at the end of the day it's all love. And you made fun of him? Is that how you treat your fans?” a Twitter user asked.
Another user added: "This is why men commit suicide our society has made it impossible for men to be open and be vulnerable. Our society wants men to pull themselves together and be strong yet they are weak. Kudos to the gentleman who cried iam proud of him."
A third commented: "Some of us hardly see celebrities bcz of where we are staying so some of us get emotional when u get such an opportunity."
