Everything you need to know about Trevor Noah's new book

Trevor's "gorgeously illustrated and moving modern fable about forgiveness [and] acceptance" will hit bookshelves in October.

Stand-up comedian Trevor Noah has written another book, and we've got all the details of what you can expect from 'Into The Uncut Grass'.

The 39-year-old's first book, 'Born A Crime', was a #1 New York Times bestseller and went on to sell more than two-million copies. It was even taught in American schools

The book, which was released in 2016, also won several awards, including three NAACP trophies. 

The comedian clearly knows how to tell a good story!

Release date

Trevor says he has "always wanted to write a book for all ages" and is excited about his next project. 'Into The Uncut Grass' is due for release on Tuesday, 31 October 2023.

What is 'Into The Uncut Grass' about?

According to Pan Macmillan South Africa, Trevor's book is an illustrated fable book about "forgiveness, acceptance, and the secret to solidarity". 

"Evocative of allegories and fables like 'Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland', 'The Little Prince and The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse', this book will deliver the wit and wisdom that the South African comedian is known for in every medium," the publisher said in a statement.

It's illustrated by Christopher Myers

Trevor Noah has teamed up with award-winning illustrator Christopher Myers to bring his "magical story" to life. Christopher is well-known in the children’s literature space.  

He has illustrated several books, including 'Harlem: A Poem, a Caldecott Honor Book' which earned him a prestigious Caldecott Medal - an honour given to the "most distinguished American picture book for children".

It's inspired by Trevor's childhood

Trevor Noah's book is inspired by his childhood and his mother, Patricia Noah. 

"‘Few memories in my life bring me more joy than the first few books I read as a child. Either with my mom or reading alone, those simple stories shaped so much of how I saw the world. I hope this story can bring a little bit of that same joy to readers of all ages," Trevor said. 

Pan Macmillan is confident the former 'The Daily Show' host's book will delight young and old readers alike.
