Ed Sheeran is officially a dad of two! The Grammy Award-winning musician announced the news on Instagram.

"Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x," the 31-year-old wrote.

Ed is married to financial advisor Cherry Seaborn. Ed is yet to reveal their newborn's name or share any other details about her birth.

The singer's baby news came as a surprise to his fans as the couple kept the second pregnancy under wraps.

"He’s so sneaky but I’m here for it," one fan commented.

Ed's post is similar to one he shared when he welcomed his first daughter, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, in August 2020.

"We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back," he captioned the post.

Ed and Cherry are childhood friends and went to high school together. They reconnected in 2015 when Ed was touring New York - where Cherry worked at the time.

In January 2018, Ed announced that they were engaged. "Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well," he wrote.

They tied the knot in a secret ceremony at Cherry's family church in Suffolk that same year. The couple lives a quiet life in England when Ed is not on tour.

They share very few details about their family life. Ed told The Mirror in an interview why he tries to keep his personal life out of the spotlight.

"I've learned a lot of things being in this industry by doing things right - and doing things wrong. One thing I've learned is mixing the public with the personal life always ends in tears... so I'm not going to talk about that side of things [any longer]."
