Cardi B is the latest musician to have something thrown at her while performing on stage, but unlike most celebrities, she is fighting back.

The American rapper was performing in Las Vegas when a woman in the crowd tossed a drink at her.

In the words of the 30-year-old's 'Bodak Yellow' lyrics:

She gon' do what to who? Let's find out and see, Cardi B.

Cardi B didn't think twice before throwing her microphone at the woman. She did not miss!

A video of the incident has since gone viral. Several media outlets credited social media user @j_blizzyy (Twitter, TikTok) as the person who took the video.

Several angles of the incident were taken by different concertgoers. One video showed the woman apologising profusely after Cardi B threw the mic at her.

But according to some fans, the woman did so in jest after a DJ encouraged an audience member to splash Cardi B with water.

A video shows the audience member doing just that, and Cardi B did not seem to mind. You can watch that video here: Cardi B splashing video. (Warning: The video contains foul language).

To add to the chaos of the situation, several other Twitter users shared a video that showed Cardi B throwing her mic at a DJ in Las Vegas just hours before her now-viral mic-throwing video.

Fans throw bizarre things at musicians

Cardi B is one of several artists in recent months to have something thrown at them on stage. Harry Styles was hit in the eye with an object at a show in Vienna, while another fan threw her mother's ashes at singer Pink!.

Bebe Rexha was injured when a fan threw a phone at her, and needed to get stitches.

Following all the drama, British singer Adele made it clear that her fans better not try any funny business with her.

"Have you noticed how people are forgetting show etiquette at the moment? People throwing s**t on stage. Have you seen them?  I f**king dare you. I dare you to throw something at me. I'll f**king kill you!" she said before firing off a T-shirt gun.

Meanwhile, Alicia Keys' son Genesis is not taking any chances. He was spotted guarding his mother during one of her recent shows.

"My boy said I’m not playing no games on moms stage. He a real serious one. Thank you Gen we love you and protection. He didn’t care she was live on stage," his father Swizz Beatz captioned a picture of the little "bodyguard".
