We didn't see this celebrity beef coming! Cardi B is clapping back at Madonna after the 64-year-old said she paved the way for many women in the industry.

Madonna celebrated the 30th anniversary of her controversial book, 'S.E.X.', with an interesting post on her Instagram Story.

"Thirty years ago I published a book called S.E.X. in addition to photos of me naked. There were photos of men kissing men, [women] kissing [women], and me kissing everyone. I also wrote about my sexual fantasies and shared my point of view about sexuality in an ironic way," the 'Papa Don't Preach' singer began.

The Grammy Award winner added that she got a lot of backlash after releasing the project.

"I spent the next few years being interviewed by narrow-minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself as a woman. I was called a whore, a witch, a heretic and the devil. Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her a** and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball. You're welcome b*****s [clown emoji]," she wrote

Cardi B took offence to Madonna using her name in the post and including a clown emoji.

"I literally [paid] this woman homage so many times 'cause I grew up listening to her… she can make her point without putting clown emojis and getting slick out the mouth. These icons really become disappointments once [you] make it in the industry. That's why I keep to myself," the 30-year-old rapper tweeted.

But Madonna and Cardi B's beef was short-lived. Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee reached out to the musicians and they all ended up on a call together.

"On the phone with Madonna and Cardi. Listening to both women share their perspective on the communication going on has broadened their love for each other. Love this [signed a fly on the wall]," he tweeted.

Cardi also revealed that all is well between the two stars.

"I talked to Madonna …It was beautiful 🥲….Have a great day and drive safely yallll" Cardi B updated her fans.
