Candice became a household name after appearing in several Victoria's Secret runway shows. The KwaZulu-Natal model grew up on a  dairy and beef farm in Mooi River.

She was discovered at a flea market by a model scout when she was 15. Candice started booking international modelling gigs at 16 years old.

"After two years of traveling between Paris, Milan, London and South Africa, I took a leap of faith and moved to New York City to model full-time. Separated from everything familiar, I relied on my drive and ambition as I lived on my own overseas. I gave up a normal teenage life with my family and friends to pursue a dream, but what I have gotten in return is simply incredible," she writes on her website.

Candice has also appeared on the covers of magazines such as Vogue and GQ. She is one of the highest-paid models in the world, and according to Forbes magazine, earned a whopping $7-million (R100-million) in 2016.

"The brand keeps evolving, and it’s so rewarding to see that every day we reach more women in all corners of the world... Since the beginning when I was creating branding, I really wanted to create a brand that was conscious of its impact on the planet ," Candice told Fashion Weekly in an interview.

She added that she gets her passion for the environment from her childhood.

"I grew up on a farm in South Africa, where I was always playing outside with my brother. Appreciation for nature is something that was instilled in me from a young age, and I continue to have a great passion and appreciation for the environment."
