Amazon Prime has dubbed its adaptation of 'Cinderella' as a "modern movie musical with a bold take on the fairy tale classic".

Camila Cabello plays the lead role in the film, which premiered on Friday, September 3. Despite some cringe-worthy dialogue, social media users have given the singer's film debut an A for effort.

“It’s really been an honor to play Cinderella, everything this film stands for, I stand for. It stands for representation and diversity, dreams and independence, and compassion. All the things we need to be talking about. This Cinderella has ambition and big dreams for herself, it’s not all about the prince," Camila told Deadline

Pierce Brosnan almost stole the show as King Rowan. "Oooohhh ... Pierce Brosnan is looking VERY silver fox," one viewer wrote on Twitter.

Other stars making an appearance include Minnie Driver, Idina Menzel, Nicholas Galitzine, James Corden and Billy Porter, who plays the fairy godmother.

'Cinderella' was the #1 most-watched show on Amazon during the first 24 hours of its release.
