Billie Eilish has seemingly thrown shade at the amount of TikTokers who get invited to awards shows.

The 22-year-old made an appearance at the 2024 People's Choice Awards at the weekend and was spotted mingling with stars such as Kylie Minogue

At one point in the evening, the 'What Was I Made For?' singer seemed to get annoyed by some of the attendees.

"There’s some, like, TikTokers here,” she was seen telling Kylie. The singer shakes her head while saying, "Don't need it".

Some of the popular influencers who were invited to the awards this year included Tana Mongeau, Gigi Gorgeous, and James Charles, who has nearly 40-million followers on TikTok.

It's unclear who exactly Billie was talking about.

Despite having no links to the music or movie industry, social media influencers are often invited to high-profile events.

They get to walk the red carpet and rub shoulders with the stars. The A-list celebrities at this year's People's Choice Awards included Jennifer Aniston, Sydney Sweeney, Lenny Kravitz, Heidi Klum, and Halle Bailey

While some thought Billie's comments were in poor taste, many applauded her for keeping it real.

"She’s right because TikTokers are not celebrities and do not belong at awards shows. They cheapen them," one X (Twitter) wrote.

Another user added: "Billie Eilish talking about the plague of TikTokers is hilarious."

A third person commented: "There are actually some talented TikTokers but IDK why they invite the bad ones LMAO."

One person who was not impressed with Billie's remarks was influencer Bryce Hall.

"I'm just going to address this clip of Billie Eilish being disgusted by TikTokers that were at the People’s Choice. I was one of them. First off, Billie Eilish, I’m so sorry that I didn’t acknowledge your greatness and bow down to you being another human being.”

Bryce, who has more than 23 million TikTok followers, said influencers were personally invited to the event by the People's Choice Awards and Billie should hate on them.

Social media users told him to take several seats. "Billie Eilish is actually relevant, with awards, TALENT," one X user wrote.

Another user replied: "Baby, Billie Eilish has Grammys and Oscars… you get gifts on TikTok… like let’s be serious for a second."
