The woman who allegedly inspired Netflix's popular new series, 'Baby Reindeer', has confirmed her true identity.

Fiona Harvey, a Scottish lawyer, sat down for an interview with controversial journalist Piers Morgan and allowed him to release a picture of the two of them posing together.

'Baby Reindeer', which Netflix billed as a true story, is based on an experience British comedian Richard Gadd had with a stalker.

His stalker sent him thousands of emails and 100s of hours worth of voice messages. Richard narrates and stars in the series.

Richard told The Guardian in an April interview that he was "severely stalked and abused" by the woman he referred to as Martha. He also doesn't use his real name in the show. His character is called Donny.

While the series is based on a true story, certain elements were "tweaked slightly to create dramatic climaxes" and avoid revealing people's identities.

Richard and Netflix reportedly changed as much about the real "Martha" as possible so that nobody - including his real stalker - would recognise her.

However, some people did some digging and were allegedly able to find the real Martha after cross-referencing information that was mentioned in the show.

Fiona has come forward not only to reveal who she is but also to share her side of the story.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:

Speaking on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored', Fiona first denied that she had sent Richard any emails, let alone over 41,000. However, she eventually admitted sending a couple of emails - "less than 10".

She described the emails as "jokey banter". Fiona also denied sending Richard 350 voice messages, 744 tweets, 48 Facebook messages and 106 letters. The 58-year-old says she sent about 18 tweets in total and probably wrote just one letter.

Fiona admits to having 4 to 6 different email addresses and four different phones at one point. She says she just likes keeping people on different phones.

She denies liking or loving Richard. "I don't fancy little boys without jobs".

Fiona says she hasn't even watched the series but heard about some of the scenes depicted.

She denies much of what was portrayed in the show and claims that "Martha" is a fictional work of Richard's imagination.

She says she plans to sue Netflix.

"I will be taking legal action against Richard Gadd and Netflix. We have instructed lawyers in part, but we want to explore all of the options out there. There are a number of people to sue," she told Piers.

Many people called Piers' interview "unethical", especially because "Martha" was portrayed in the series as someone who is mentally ill.

"Just subjected myself to Piers Morgan’s hellscape car crash interview with the real Martha from #BabyReindeer. A beautifully made Netflix drama now totally soiled by Morgan’s painful exposure, gaslighting and exploitation of an obviously mentally unwell woman. Desperate times," one X user wrote.

Some noted that Fiona changed her story several times throughout the interview.

"That Fiona Harvey lady went on Piers Morgan Uncensored to clear her name but ended up proving that everything Richard Gadd portrayed on Baby Reindeer was true," an X user commented.

A YouTube user commented: "'I'm nothing like Martha' - sits and acts exactly like Martha for an hour."

Neither Netflix nor Richard has commented on Fiona's "tell-all" interview.
