Special votes application available online, via SMS
If you're applying for a special vote for the local government elections - you'll be able to cast your ballot two days before the August 3 polls.
The IEC will accept applications for special votes from Friday.
KZN spokesperson Mawethu Mosery says these apply to people who are disabled or sick and who can't physically go to a voting station.

"To apply, you can send an SMS to 32254 and you can also visit our website, or visit the office of the Electoral Commission - you will be assisted by completing an application form," he said.
You can also send someone to the IEC's offices to apply for you. Applications close on July 8.
