SZA's fans are begging her to redo the video for her hit single, 'The Weekend' - claiming the one directed by Solange Knowles does not do the song justice.

The Solange-directed video made its debut several days ago, and many SZA fans gave the "underwhelming" video poor reviews.

They slammed the video's aesthetic, saying it does not complement the lyrics of the "side chick anthem".

Some accused Solange of directing a video that was more suitable for her own music.

"Waiting for SZA and Solange to say just kidding!" one YouTube user commented.

Another added: "Solange straight sabotaged this s**t."

Here's what others had to say on Twitter.

SZA can take comfort in the fact that her video with Maroon 5, 'What Lovers Do', has been watched more than 128-million times since its September 28 release.

The song is currently at number nine on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
