American pop hip-hop band LFO member Devin Lima has succumbed to a year-long battle with cancer, TMZ reports. It is reported that he died on Wednesday morning.

LFO was known as Lyte Funkie Ones, and it was formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1995.

He is the second band member to pass away from cancer. Rich Cronin died back in September 2010 after a long fight with leukaemia. He was only 36-years-old.

LFO was hugely popular back in the '90s, with their biggest hit being Summer Girls, which was the lead single from their album, 'LFO'. Billboard magazine named it the sixteenth biggest summer song of all time, it is reported.
