King Kendrick leads Grammy nominations
The Compton MC has bagged 11 nominations
A few years ago the world was shocked when Macklemore won best rap album over Kendrick Lamar at the Grammys.
It seems the Compton MC can finally put the snubs of that night behind him as he leads the field for nominations this year.
Kendrick not only got nominated for best Rap but he is the odds on favourite to bag the Best album statuette at the ceremony next year.
The other surprise nomination was Drake’r back to back getting a nod for best rap performance.
Lady Smith Black Mambazo's Music From Inala received a nomination in the category World Music Album.
South African muso, Wouter Kellerman's Love Language bagged a nomination in the category Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. The flute player won the 2015 Grammy for best new age album.
