Kenny Lynch dies at age 81

Tributes keep pouring for singer and TV star Kenny Lynch.

The star died on Wednesday, 18 December.

The news of his passing was announced by his children on Twitter. 

“Saddened to share this news with you all. Sadly our dad passed away in the early hours this morning. He will be remembered & missed by many, ” the family wrote on Twitter. 

The family thanked the National Health Services and Sue Ryder, a London-based charity, for supporting their dad. 

“ Bye Dad, we will love you always!" they wrote. 

Kenny was one of the first black pop stars in the UK and he was very popular in the 1960s. He toured with 'The Beatles'. 

Some of his hit songs include 'Up on the roof', 'Why do you treat me this way', and 'You can never stop me loving you'. 

Tributes keep pouring in for the star.

Gary Lineker described him as a 'delightful, funny, talented man'.
