Baby Boy makes his comeback on the music scene with new track
Updated | By Supplied
'Make My World' is a new pop dance song with strong R&B roots. It talks about being in love with your partner to a point that you both can’t go on without each other.
The song was created by longtime songwriter/ producer Ndot, who has written for many South African artists over the last 15 years including the Lindo X Sketchy Bongo hit “Let’s Go”. For his first DJ single, Ndot turned to Brandon Manto, known to his fans as Baby Boy, for vocals, who also happens to be a long-time friend whom he wrote many songs for during his music career.
Both have great working chemistry which truly reflects on this super hit. The song was also co-produced by Musa Zwane who has produced for the likes of Afro Soul, Big Nuz, Duncan to name a few.
Baby Boy, one of the most popular and loved KZN kid star, rose to fame in the early to mid-2000s. He rose to stardom at the tender age of 13 with his number one hit single “My People”, and got to tour the UK where he performed for the Queen and even opened for the Spice Girls.
By the age of 16, Baby Boy had already released two albums under Universal Records; he also had two number one hit singles, "My People" and "Friday" under his belt.
Due to school commitments, Manto decided to take a break from business music life. The last few years has been a busy one for his music career for him touring the world with his cover band Empire.
“Make My World” is Baby Boy's return to the music scene after many years. Watch this space.
