Jennifer Hudson is officially a Tony award winner. The 'Respect' actor won the coveted award on Sunday for 'A Strange Loop'.
Jennifer co-produced the critically acclaimed Broadway production, which won 'Best Musical'. The win means that the former 'American Idol' contestant has officially earned EGOT status.
She now has an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony on her mantle piece. Jennifer is the second black woman to achieve EGOT status.
Whoopi Goldberg was the first black woman to achieve the feat.

Jennifer's fans are thrilled that she has cemented her place in EGOT history.
"Jennifer Hudson’s success story is one I remind myself of often. An EGOT winner?! She didn’t win American Idol, absolutely was slighted IMO, but there was MORE in store for her. When I don’t get something I want, I think “wow, I guess something bigger is coming," a Twitter user named Cheyenne Corin wrote.
Another user also praised Jennifer for going on to achieve greatness after losing out on 'American Idol': "And that's how you do it. Jennifer Hudson went from seventh place on American Idol to the second Black woman in history to EGOT."
