Perrie Edwards launched her career as a solo artist in 2024 and has a lot of exciting things lined up for her fans...
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards is ready to take the music industry by storm as a solo artist.
The 30-year-old English singer released her new song, 'Forget About Us', in April and is gearing up for the release of her debut solo album.
"In my happy place!" Perrie said after performing the single live at a launch party in London.
Little Mix, a girl group created on 'The X Factor UK', went on an indefinite hiatus in December 2021. The group originally consisted of members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, and Perrie.
Jesy left the group in December 2020. "Being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard," she said at the time.

Perrie is excited to be embarking on a solo career. She told NME in an interview that her new album, which does not have a release date yet, is "eclectic”.
“What I wanted to make sure of was that every song [from] a different genre had a sister or sibling on the album, so it’s not completely mismatched,” she says. “It makes sense when you listen to it as a body of work," she said.
Perrie co-wrote 'Forget About Us' with Ed Sheeran, Steven Solomon, and David Hodges. Official Charts UK described the song as “Kelly Clarkson-meets-Katy Perry vibes”
Jin Jin, who has worked with Litte Mix in the past, and RAYE have also written songs for her upcoming album.
Perrie told Rollacoaster in a separate interview that she wrote songs about everything.
"It really is like therapy to pour your heart out about a certain situation in your life—and all of a sudden it becomes a song.”

Perrie will make her official debut as a solo artist at the Capital Summertime Ball, which is happening at Wembley Stadium in June.
Her two-year-old son, Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain, whom she shares with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, could also make an appearance at the event.
"He'd love to come. I might definitely bring him actually," she told Capital FM in a recent interview.
