Imagine Dragons collaborate with J Balvin on 'Eyes Closed'
Rock meets Latin music in Imagine Dragons' new remix...
American pop rock band Imagine Dragons have joined force with Colombian reggaetón superstar J Balvin for a remix of their song, 'Eyes Closed'.
The remix dropped on May 3 alongside an accompanying music video.
"Smashing stylistic boundaries, the future-facing anthem co-mingles elements of alternative, rap, electronic, and rock with a hint of reggaeton. Industrial production bumps beneath deftly rhymed verses laced with swaggering attitude," a statement about the song reads.
The original version of the song was released in April as the lead single from the band's upcoming album, 'LOOM'.
Their sixth studio album is due for release on June 28.
Lead singer Dan Reynolds said last month: "After taking some time off the road and spending time catching up with family and loved ones, I finally have felt the desire to go back to the sonic places that originally brought me the most joy, but with a new outlook and mentality."
The 36-year-old added that the band had a lot of fun making their new music.
"The world looks much different after being a band for more than a
decade. But some things will always remain the same. It’s finding that right
balance of nostalgia and freshness that brings me the most joy in the studio.
We had a lot of fun making this one and hope you enjoy it too."

The band will embark on a world tour shortly after the release of their album. The Imagine Dragons 'Loom' world tour kicks off in America on July 30.
Dan revealed in a post shared on their Instagram page that making the album was a rollercoaster.
"Some days the songs came from a place of sadness and heartache and others joy and jubilance. loneliness. searching. wanting. anger. love... Thank you for letting me feel less alone here on this planet. For singing with me across the globe, reminding me that we all truly are one and in this together."
