Alicia Keys has released the music video for her new song, 'Lifeline'. The track features in the latest adaption of 'The Color Purple' movie.

Alicia first teased the song in November.  "Something I’ve been working on… Lifeline," she captioned a video of herself singing the track at a piano.

The 42-year-old is thrilled to be part of the movie's soundtrack.

"I love this song so much!!!! Don’t we all need a Lifeline?? The @thecolorpurple is so powerfully about sisterhood! About strength and resilience, about the lifeline we can be for each other!" she said in a separate post.
