Britney Spears apologises to Justin Timberlake after 'Selfish' drama

Britney Spears is "deeply sorry" for some of the things she wrote in her bestselling memoir, 'The Woman In Me'. 

The 'Princess of Pop' made the apology on her Instagram page alongside a video of Justin Timberlake. The clip was taken during Justin's recent appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' alongside Jimmy Fallon. 

Britney's apology comes a few days after her fans decided to teach Justin a lesson following the release of his new single, Selfish'. 

They took to music platforms to stream Britney's song, 'Selfish', to make it rank higher on the charts than Justin's song of the same name.

Britney's version of 'Selfish' was featured on the deluxe edition of her 2011 album, 'Femme Fatale'.

Britney's fans managed to get 'Selfish' back on the charts 13 years after its release.  

Not only did they make the song chart on iTunes, but they also made it chart higher than Justin's single.

Britney's fans are taking revenge on the 'Sexy Back' singer after shocking revelations she made in her memoir. 

Britney revealed in her book that she had an abortion while dating Justin between 1999 and 2002. 

"Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father. To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life," she wrote.

Just received major backlash online with some social media users calling him "trash".

It seems Britney has now had a change of heart.

"I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry… " she wrote. 

The 42-year-old added that she is a big fan of Justin's song. 

"I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish” It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard?"
