Blackpink break records with new song 'Pink Venom'

K-pop group Blackpink is back with a bang!
Blackpink released their highly anticipated single, 'Pink Venom', a few days ago and it is already a certified hit.
The song, which is the lead single from their upcoming album, 'Born Pink', has broken several records since it dropped on Friday.
'Pink Venom' is Spotify's biggest female act/group debut of the year. The song raced to #1 on the streaming platform's global songs chart.
According to World Music Awards, the track reached number one in 73 countries.

'Pink Venom' also scored big on YouTube. The song's video, which was also released on August 19, achieved over 90-million views in one day - making it the biggest music video debut of 2022.
It currently has over 160-million views. The song is on track to make an entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Blackpink's previous hits, 'How You Like That' and 'Ice Cream' featuring Selena Gomez, have also featured on the chart.
'Pink Venom' features a sample from Rihanna's 2005 hit, 'Pon de Replay'. It also references Taylor Swift's 'Look What You Made Me Do'.
The group's new album is expected to go on sale on September 16. Blackpink will go on tour one month later.
The 'Born Pink World Tour' will be making stops in several cities, including London, Barcelona, Paris, Sydney, and Los Angeles.
