Ariana Grande embraces alien abduction in new music video

While many people would be terrified at being abducted by aliens, Ariana Grande is walking towards the light in her 'Supernatural' music video.

The singer released a solo video for the song on Tuesday, May 19. The footage appears in the short film, 'Brighter Days Ahead', which Grande premiered in March.

The film was released as part of the promo for the reissue of her seventh studio album, 'Eternal Sunshine'.

The visuals for 'Supernatural' show the 'Wicked' actress walking through a city in the aftermath of what appears to be an attack. Buildings are on fire, and wrecked cars are in the street.

Grande then walks towards a UFO hovering over the wrecked city. She curiously walks towards the light beaming down from the spacecraft onto a street.

She then starts to levitate as she is sucked up into the UFO.

"This love's possessing me, but I don't mind at all/ It's like supernatural/ It's takin' over me, don't wanna fight the fall/ It's like supernatural/ No, I don't even mind at all/ It's like supernatural," she sings.

The song is reportedly about Grande's boyfriend, English actor Ethan Slater. The pair met on the set of 'Wicked' in late 2022.

They both were still married at the time. Rumours about their budding romance started to swirl in July 2023.

The deluxe edition of 'Eternal Sunshine' includes six new songs, including 'Hampstead, which is also reportedly about Slater.

"I left my heart at a pub in Hampstead/And I misplaced my mind in a good way/Threw away my reputation, but saved us more heartache/Yes, I know it seems f***ked up and you're right," Grande sings.

"But quite frankly, you’re still wrong about everything/So far off, your seat's nowhere near the table/ But I find something sweet in your peculiar behaviour/ Cause I think to be so dumb must be nice."
