Apple Music has released a list of what it considers the '100 Best Albums' of all time.

'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' edged Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' album to claim the top spot on Apple Music's '100 Best Albums' list.

The streaming platform presented Lauryn with an award to celebrate the achievement at a dinner in New York.

Lauryn, a member of The Fugees, released her debut solo album, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill', in 1998.

It is her one and only project as a solo artist. The album produced hits such as 'Everything is Everything' and 'Doo Wop (That Thing)',  'Can't Take My Eyes Off You (I Love You Baby)', and 'Ex-Factor'. It won five awards at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards in 1999.

"This is my award, but it’s a rich, deep narrative and involves so many people, and so much sacrifice, and so much time, and so much collective love," Lauryn said about her Apple Music '100 Best Albums' award.

Other albums on the list included Travis Scott's 'Astroworld' (98), Usher's 'Confessions' (95), SZA's 'SOS' (72), and Taylor Swift's '1989 (Taylor's Version)' (18).

Noticeably absent from the 100 list were Mariah Carey, Queen, and more surprising snubs.

While some social media users think Apple Music got the top 10 somewhat right, others have lots of questions about the list.

"No Queen? No Pearl Jam? No Doors? And you put Taylor Swift over Dark Side of the Moon??? That list is insane," one Instagram user wrote.

Another user added: "Artists that are missing: Coldplay (either of their OG albums), Queen, Deanna Carter (Strawberry Wine album), Mariah Carey, Miles Davis, Tom Petty, Bjork, Flunk, and Daft Punk."

Some even went as far as telling Apple never to make another list.

"Dear Apple, please stick to making phones and streaming music. But never, I repeat, never make a “list” again. For everyone’s sake," one Instagram user wrote.
