A woman who was diagnosed with uterus didelphys gave birth to her twins two days apart. "Never in our wildest dreams could we have planned a pregnancy and birth like this."

Kelsey Hatcher, from Alabama in the US, is a woman with a unique condition called double uterus or uterus didelphys.
According to Sky News, Kelsey has two functional uteruses that each have their own cervix. This led to her conceiving in both wombs at the same time.
Falling pregnant in two wombs is described as a one-in-a-million occurrence, according to the publication.
The mother welcomed her first baby, Roxi, at 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 19, followed by Rebel, who was delivered about 10 hours later on Dec. 20, states NPR.

The twins were born after the mother spent 20 hours in labour. She gave birth at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital.
"Never in our wildest dreams could we have planned a pregnancy and birth like this; but bringing our two healthy baby girls into this world safely was always the goal, and UAB helped us accomplish that," Mrs Hatcher reportedly said in a statement released by the hospital.
"It seems appropriate that they had two birthdays, though. They both had their own 'houses,' and now both have their own unique birth stories," she added.
