Rainbows and Smiles Annual KZN Golf Day this July
Rainbows and Smiles, a non-profit organisation that supports kids with cancer, will be hosting their annual golf day on 31 July.
With great pleasure, we announce the annual golf day for Rainbows and Smiles.
"Rainbows and Smiles is a community-based, charitable foundation dedicated to providing emotional, social and financial support to children diagnosed with cancer or a life-threatening illness, as well as their families and caregivers," according to the Rainbow and Smiles website.
The non-profit organisation is inspired by the founder, Bonita Suckling's late son, Jed, whose love language was gift-giving.
Every year in South Africa, almost 1,000 children are diagnosed with cancer. It is usually poor socio-economic circumstances and a lack of awareness of the warning signs that causes late diagnoses.
The Rainbows and Smiles annual golf day will be held at the Mount Edgecombe Golf Club on 31 July.
This year will mark the fourth annual fundraising golf day, which Marriott Investment Managers will support as the event partner.
The entrance fee is R4,400 per 4-ball, and the package includes:
- 18 Holes of golf at the prestigious Mt Edgecombe Country Club Lakes course in a four-ball alliance stableford, two scores to count, format
- Prize-giving dinner, registration snack and halfway house
- Goody bag
- Fantastic prizes
- Fun entertainment at the dinner
- 2 Golf carts per 4-ball
