Everyone enjoys great orchestrated musical pieces.
Orchestrated music brings serenity and showcases a large amount of creative talent within South Africa.
Marin Alsop, who is also said to be one of the greatest music conductors of her time, conducts the Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO).

What makes this event extremely monumental is the fact that the Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra is South Africa's first national orchestra formed in the democratic period.
It includes many successful artists and a line-up of immensely talented musicians such as Michelle Breedt (mezzo soprano), Msimelelo Mbali (one of South Africa's leading bass baritones), and Pieter Schoeman (South African violinist), to mention a few.

The Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra aims to create an impact within the community as well as bringing a change to the orchestral music sector in SA.
Bongani Tembe (CEO and Artistic Director of the Mzansi NPO) mentioned that the event aims to bring about a drastic turn to the South African musical industry.
The orchestra aims to bring about change by:
- Creating growth to the tourism and creative departments
- Providing mentorship programmes to improve the musical industry
- Motivating the youth to take their talents more seriously to achieve success
- Promoting and sharing musical knowledge
- Increasing the appreciation of music
