Experience thrills & chills at Highstakes Adventure Park
Updated | By East Coast Radio
KZN’s Highstakes Centre is where adventure lives loud, whether you’re a thriller or a chiller!

Have you ever dreamt of a place where you can scream your lungs out on a zipline, cover your friends in paint, and then chill with a cold one by the pool?
Well, Highstakes Outdoor Activity Centre in Cato Ridge is calling your name.
This adventure-packed venue turns a humble farm into a paradise for adrenaline junkies, laid-back loungers, and everyone in between.
Motocross mayhem

Whether you ride like a pro or wobble like Bambi on two wheels, the motocross tracks at Highstakes have you covered.
The main track stretches 1.8km of dirt-flying action, while a mini track is perfect for the little ones or those just starting out.
Adrenaline galore

The motocross track is just one attraction that Highstakes offers. There’s much much more, like:
Quad biking through scenic trails (with a guide, so you won’t get lost… or stuck in a bush)
Clay pigeon shooting - test your aim at R22 a shot
Archery for kids and grown-ups alike at R90 per session
Paintball battles - grab your squad of 6+ and settle some scores, R150 gets you 100 pellets
Zipline thrills - 400 meters of pure, wind-in-your-hair freedom for just R90 a person
Hiking, birding & trail running

If high-speed thrills aren’t your thing, grab your takkies and explore the farm’s rugged terrain.
Expect trails that rise and fall, hill climbs, and a pretty fair share of Instagrammable views.
Keen bird watchers might even spot a feathered friend or two.
Relax & refuel

After all that action, park yourself on the deck of the licenced restaurant, overlooking the valley and dam.
Alternatively, you can bring your own goodies and have a braai by the pool (just book ahead at R15 per person).
Stay a little longer

If a day isn’t enough for all the adventure, you can turn it into a weekend getaway.
Highstakes offers comfy accommodation options, from family en-suite rooms to self-catering units.
It’s also an ideal spot for birthdays, conferences, team builds, or just-because-we-can parties.
Where? 3km south of Cato Ridge, between Durban and Pietermaritzburg
Entry? R30 per car (4 people)
Book your braai and pool spots in advance
