The Margarita cocktail is one of the most popular cocktails in the world and it's not because the word is very catchy to randomly blurt out here and there but because the cocktail has a great taste.
The Margarita is said to date back to the 1930s, the exact location of where the drink originated is unknown however, the drink is said to have been created by a bartender to honour - Rita de la Rosa who was a Mexican showgirl (she must have really put on a show to have an entire drink dedicated to her!)
Although there are many different stories of multiple people stating how the drink originated it's quite evident that the origin of the drink will most likely be a mystery.
