It is called 'uncombable hair syndrome'...
One of the most memorable features of the renowned physicist, Albert Einstein, is his wild hair.
He had the same hair condition that toddler, Lock Samples, currently has: 'uncombable hair syndrome'.

The 16-month-old's mom only started noticing the little one's special hair when he was six months old.
Katelyn found it extremely hard to keep his blonde spiky hair under control. It was also hard to get it wet when she tried washing it.
"Then, as soon as we would dry it, it would not lay flat, even if we brushed it," she says.

She ended up at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta hoping to find answers and clarity regarding her son's hair.
There she learned that Lock is one of only a hundred or so people on Earth with uncombable hair syndrome. The condition won’t affect his overall health, but he’ll never be able to use gel or hairspray to try to tame his strange tufty locks because the hair shafts could break.
Lock’s unique hair even has its own Instagram account, with over 5,000 followers!
