Keri's Couch: Cara Noble speaks seven languages of telecounselling with CANSA
The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) has faced financial strain due to COVID-19, but that has not stopped the organisation from finding other selfless means to reach out to the public.
This week on Keri's Couch, the queen of intros is joined by Cara Noble - a woman who is doing phenomenal work as the national relationship manager of CANSA, but is also a mom, a wife, and an individual who is a Master of Social Science.
This interview was an interesting one because even though Keri wanted to shine the spotlight on Cara Noble under the Women's Month theme, #WomenUnlocked, Cara's selfless nature kept gravitating towards her passion and love for CANSA.

A shining light that is searching for kindness, Cara has devoted over 10 years of her life to CANSA and it's heartbreaking to hear that as donations dwindle, the CANSA association is closing the doors of two centres that need to remain open.
"Unfortunately, we have had some difficult times and donations have completely dried up. People are being completely generous with food donations and goodie parcels to our cancer patients to assist them while they are on this difficult journey," Cara says.

In spite of these challenges, CANSA has been providing individual and family counselling, as well as support. It’s been a big dream of their service team to develop an in-house telephonic counselling service for some time, as cancer takes a psychological, emotional, and physical toll on cancer patients. As a result, the organisation finally launched its telecommunication service on Mandela Day, which offers free, confidential,
professional, cancer-related telephonic counselling to cancer patients,
caregivers, and their families and parents or guardians of children living with
cancer in seven languages.
