Candice Leith was seriously injured in a shooting incident on the N2 at Spaghetti Junction on Monday morning after an object placed in the road damaged her vehicle's wheels.

Listen to Candice Smith describe her experience to Darren and Keri in the podcast:

After a security company stopped to assist her, she was robbed by two assailants, one of which was armed and subsequently shot her in the leg.

Candice spoke to Darren Maule and Keri Miller about the harrowing experience, moments after waking up from an operation to repair the damage done by the bullet.

Candice stated in an unrecorded pre-interview, that there was more than one motorist whose vehicles were also damaged by objects on the road, reporting at least 2 other vehicles that had stopped in front of her.

As reported by ECR Newswatch, Medi-Response spokesperson Paul Herbst says the woman was alone in her car on Monday night when she hit some rocks placed on the highway.
