Yes, LaQuera Edwards from California is probably part of the 0.0000001% in history who have won the lottery by 'mistake'.

We say 'mistake' because in this case, LaQuedra Edwards was bumped by a stranger when she went to the supermarket to get a lottery ticket. The option she had intended on selecting was a lot cheaper than the $30 200X Scratchers ticket she bought with her $40 (R587.09).
You can imagine how annoying it must feel to go off budget on something like a lottery ticket.
According to NPR Edwards shared:
"He just bumped into me, didn't say a thing and just walked out the door

When she got to her car and scratched the lottery ticket, she found out she was a millionaire!
A whopping $10-million, which is almost R150-million!
Edwards told NPR she is going to use her winnings to buy a house and start a non-profit organisation.
